Stefan Ytterborn

Stefan Ytterborn is the founder and CEO of CAKE, the Swedish maker of premium lightweight electric motorcycles. Highly committed to contributing to sustainable development, Stefan founded CAKE to inspire in the transition towards a fossil-free society. Furthermore, CAKE’s products have proven to also address several other aspects of sustainability – beyond climate challenges – which demonstrates Stefan’s strong perspective on innovation.

Stefan has a long background as entrepreneur, promoter, and strategist within contemporary and industrial design and communication, covering all segments of the value chain when being responsible for developing more than 2,000 consumer products. Working with design development since his early 20’s, Stefan has engaged with brands like Hackman, Iittala, The Absolut Company, and McDonald’s, and was the inventor of the IKEA PS category of designer collaboration collections. CAKE combines all of Stefan’s experiences with interests that matter to him and that he is passionate about. Previous to CAKE, he founded and led the leading ski and cycling protection brand POC.
